Otváranie mestských brán

Otváranie mestských brán v historickom prevedení pripomína korunovačnú tradíciu Bratislavy a symbolizuje otvorenosť mesta aj tajomstvá skryté v príbehoch jeho viac ako 700 ročnej minulosti.

Otvorenie brány Primaciálneho paláca je stvárnené pomocou ukážok jednotlivých významných období, ktorými si Bratislava prešla, pričom ich spojítkom je úcta a láska k hlavnému mestu a jej obyvateľom. Súčasťou programu sú šermiarske a tanečné akcie, hudobné vstupy a hovorené slovo. 

Po prezentácii jednotlivých historických období otvoríme pre obyvateľov a návštevníkov mesta za zvukov bubnov aj fanfár bránu Primaciálneho paláca a tým Bratislavské mestské dni 2026.

The opening of the city gates in historical style recalls Bratislava’s coronation tradition and symbolizes the openness of the city and the secrets hidden in the stories of its more than 700-year history.

The opening of the gates of the Primatial Palace is depicted through demonstrations of the individual significant periods that Bratislava has gone through, connected by respect and love for the capital city and its inhabitants. The program includes fencing and dance performances, musical interludes, and spoken word.

After presenting the individual historical periods, we will open the gate of the Primate’s Palace to the city’s residents and visitors to the sound of drums and fanfare, thus kicking off Bratislava City Days 2026.
